What is a Patient Forum?

A patient forum is an opportunity for the School and Hospital to meet with patients to improve communication, receive feedback on our services, hear from you on service improvements, consult and advise you on our plans for future services.

Who can participate in a Patient Forum?

If you are currently receiving treatment from the School and Hospital or are the parent / guardian of a patient who is under 16 years of age or is medically compromised then you are invited to join the Dublin Dental School and Hospital Patient Forum.

How much time would I have to commit?

Only during this current year.  We will rotate members of the forum every year.
Between now and December 2006 there will be approximately 3 meetings of the group, one in May, June and October this year.
The meetings will be in early evening.
The meetings should not take more than one hour

What would I have to do at these meetings?

We are looking for patients who will tell us what we are doing right, or wrong, and how you think our services, facilities, signs etc. can be improved.

How do I join?

If you would like to be involved listed below are a number of ways to let us know.

  • Advise any member of the receptionist staff who will take some relevant contact details
  • Fax 01 6711255 include your contact details and your hospital number for the attention of the Patient Services Manager and reference the Patient Forum
  • Email and include your contact details and your hospital number for the attention of the Patient Services Manager and reference the Patient Forum
  • Telephone 01 6127360 and advise the telephonist / messaging service of your contact details and that you would like to join the Patient Forum

I look forward to meeting you in the near future if you are interested in joining the group.

Best wishes,

Susanne Bushe
